The Belle Mead section within Montgomery Township straddles the northern portion of Montgomery Township and the southern portion of Hillsborough Township. Montgomery Township is in close proximity to the academic communities of Princeton University, Rutgers University, Rider University, The College of New Jersey and several community colleges. U.S. Route 206 (with CR 533 overlapping it for a brief stretch) is the main road that goes through Montgomery. The other main county road that goes through is CR 518. Limited access roads are accessible outside the municipality, such as Interstate 287 in bordering Franklin Township and Interstate 95 in bordering Hopewell Township. Princeton Airport is located in the township as well. |
